NAKED AND WRAPPED IN CELLOPHANE, PETA MEMBERS SHOW ‘WE’RE ALL MADE OF FLESH’
Pro-Vegetarian Demonstration Mimics Meat Packages
Washington — Lying nearly naked in large trays and covered with clear plastic, members of PETA mimicked typical packages of meat outside the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Spring Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. Other PETA members held signs reading, "Meat Is Murder," and confronted conference attendees and passed out leaflets to passersby. They aimed to demonstrate that all animals, including humans, are made of flesh, blood, and bone; that we have the same senses and range of emotions; and that eating meat is, literally, eating a corpse. The packages contained oversized price stickers that warn, "Billions of animals are abused and violently killed because you eat meat. Get help! Visit GoVeg.com."

Editor’s note: Here we go again…more soft core porn from the PETA-heads. Why use logic and common sense to make a point when you can show a little skin and make sniggering, school boy puns (see below)

Why is PETA telling the naked truth about meat? In today’s factory farms, cows are routinely branded, dehorned, and castrated without any painkillers. Many die of pneumonia, dehydration, or heat exhaustion from spending days at a time without food or water during transport in extremely crowded trucks. Slaughterhouse workers sometimes resort to strangling, beating, scalding, skinning, and dismembering conscious animals in order to keep production lines moving.

Editor’s note: They always get the little details wrong. Like the use of “cellophane” in the headline. The stuff isn’t used to wrap meat. And the claims of pneumonia, dehydration and heat exhaustion? Which outer moon of the planet Jupiter do these folks live on?

Chickens are crowded by the tens of thousands into filthy sheds that reek of ammonia fumes from their accumulated waste, and they are bred and drugged to grow so quickly that they often become crippled under their own weight. At the slaughterhouse, their throats are slit and their bodies are dunked into scalding-hot water for feather removal, often while they are still conscious.

Editor’s note: More B.S. from PETA. Or maybe we should call it C.S. this time. “Often” conscious? Not quite hardly, unless the reference of “often conscious” refers to the PETA-heads who make these P.R. decisions."

We are challenging people to really think about what ‘meat’ is," says PETA Vegan Campaign Director and head pornster Bruce Friedrich. "Eating flesh means eating the corpse of a tortured animal who did not want to die. We’re encouraging kind consumers to give vegetarianism a try."

Editor's note: I'm encouraging PETA to give truth a try. It's a refreshing concept if you've never tried it.

Vegetarians Make Better Lovers, Says Couple
(Editor's note: More PETA porn. They pulled this sophomoric stunt in 2004 and felt compelled to do it again. Of course it takes some time to find a compatible male and female slut to perform like this in public. At least it takes time at the PETA Palace of Public Porn.)
Los Angeles — In a public display of passion that’s bound to raise a few eyebrows and turn lots of heads, two PETA members—a former Naval instructor wearing only boxer shorts and a raven-haired beauty decked out in sexy lingerie—will passionately make out in a bed set up on the sidewalk at a prominent intersection in order to make the point that vegetarians are better lovers. While the comely couple is "getting it on," activists holding a banner reading, "Vegetarians Make Better Lovers," will pass out free vegetarian starter kits to let gaping onlookers know how they can spice up their own sex lives. It’s all part of PETA’s "Live Make-Out Tour":

Date: Friday, March 10
Time: 12 noon
Place: Intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and N. Highland Avenue

Why do vegetarians have it all over meat-eaters in the bedroom? For one thing, vegetarians are, on average, more fit and trim and have more energy and stamina than people who stuff themselves with fat-laden meat, dairy products, and eggs. And vegetarians don’t have to rely on chemical potions such as Viagra to be up for any opportunity: The cholesterol in meat and other animal products causes hardening of the arteries, slowing the flow of blood to all the body’s vital organs, not just to the heart. And speaking of heart, there’s nothing sexy about someone who turns a blind eye to the daily suffering of the billions of animals who are raised and killed for food each year.

"What could be more of a turn-on than snuggling up to someone who’s both passionate and compassionate?" asks PETA Director of Vegan Campaigns Bruce Friedrich. "Try a veggie burger in the kitchen for a whopper in the bedroom!"

(Editor's note: Oh, puhleeze, Brucie! Show some class. This kind of public display of affection went out of style when you were in high school. OK, maybe you're still there? Maybe you're not getting enough so you're resorting to this kind of nonesense to make up for your obvious...ummmm....errr....shortcomings?)

PETA (Still) Kills Animals
2005 Virginia Records Show That PETA Killed Over 90% Of The Adoptable Animals In Its Care

(Editor's note: Just so you understand. When PETA isn't peddling soft core porn to promote its ethically-challenged self, it's killing thousands of animals. Maybe a watchdog PETA should be formed: People for Ethically Transparent Associations. Read this report from the Center for Consumer Freedom.)

Washington, DC -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has just updated its animal-control statistics for 2005, and the numbers aren't pretty. According to the Virginia state veterinarian, PETA killed 1,946 cats, dogs, and other pets last year, in addition to 141 wild animals. In 2005 PETA managed a startling 90 percent kill rate (worse than the 86 percent the year before), adopting or transferring out only 215 animals. Added to PETA's earlier numbers, these new figures tell us that since July 1998 the group has killed over 14,400 cats, dogs, and other pets in Virginia.

“Pet lovers should be outraged,” said Center for Consumer Freedom Director of Research David Martosko. “PETA relies on the good will of compassionate Americans who will be shocked at its hypocritical angel-of-death routine. There are hundreds of worthwhile animal shelters that deserve Americans’ support. PETA is not one of them.”

Virginia isn't the only place where PETA is killing animals. In neighboring North Carolina, two PETA staffers have been charged with felony animal cruelty and obtaining property (the animals) by false pretenses. Adria Hinkle and Andrew Cook allegedly killed cats and dogs in the back of a PETA-owned van, stuffed their bodies into trash bags, and threw them into a dumpster. The pair is currently awaiting trial.

Martosko continued, “PETA’s president is on record saying that her organization is dedicated to ‘total animal liberation.’ And her employees are following through by liberating adoptable animals from life itself. In September, PETA bragged about bringing 32 stray dogs back to Virginia from the Hurricane Katrina disaster area. I’m guessing at least 28 of them have already been put down.”
