Dita Von Teese is the definition of prurient sex. She is a 'fetish' queen, ex-wife of goth rocker Marilyn Manons, and a spokesmodel for the MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam campaign and the face of the holiday catalog for Frederick's of Hollywood,a famously tasteless version of Victoria's Secret. She also performs live burlesque shows, and is a cover girl with covers Playboy, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar to her credit. She's been between the covers of Playboy some 30 times.

Now Dita is using her fetishistic sex appeal to pimp for PETA as they launch their new ABC campaign. ABC stand for animal birth control,the issue of companion animal overpopulation.

Every year, nearly 4 million dogs and cats are put to death in the U.S. because there are not enough good homes for them and PETA has had to fight several court cases when they were accused of killing thousands of homeless cats and dogs in Virginia. Being honest for a change, they said, "Until we all do our part to put an end to this cycle, euthanasia will remain a tragic necessity."

But the PETA boys still can't resist making a cheap joke out of the whole thing. Dita urges fans to "bone up" on their ABCs and, if they are considering adding a dog or a cat to the family, to adopt from a local animal shelter and be sure to get their new family member spayed or neutered.
